Dydrogesterone Tablet – Dydrosnu-10mg tablets are made up of the drug named Dydrogesterone which is used in female infertility, Premenstrual Syndrome, endometriosis, and pain during menstruation. Dydrogesterone contains progestin (female hormone), which is important in controlling women’s menstrual cycles. It initiates the normal, regular growth and shedding of the uterine lining. This helps to promote regular periods in women who have irregular menstrual cycles due to a shortage of progesterone. Furthermore, it alleviates painful or absent periods, promotes egg implantation, and thereby addresses infertility.
Uses of Dydrogesterone Tablet
- Dydrogesterone Tablet is a female hormone that regulates ovulation and menstruation in females and helps maintain a healthy womb lining during the pregnancy stage.
Dydrogesterone Tablet helps initiate the period cycle in females who have not yet reached menopause.
This medicine prevents overgrowth of the uterus in postmenopausal women who take estrogen as hormone replacement therapy. - It is used to control the uterine lining in postmenopausal women who are taking estrogens but have not had their uterus removed surgically.
- It is also administered in conjunction with estrogens as part of menopausal replacement treatment and is used to treat abnormal uterine bleeding and irregular or halted menstrual periods.

- Dydrogesterone Tablets with estrogens should not be used to prevent heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, or dementia. Using Dydrogesterone Tablet with estrogens may increase the chance of getting heart attacks, strokes, breast cancer, and blood clots.
- Do not use Dydrogesterone Tablet if you are allergic to peanuts, have unusual vaginal bleeding, have had any cancer (breast or uterus cancer), or undergoing estrogen plus progestin treatment.
- Tell your doctor before using the Dydrogesterone Tablet if you have had a heart attack, stroke, blood clot, liver problems, kidney problems, pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to get pregnant, asthma (wheezing), epilepsy (seizures), diabetes, migraine, endometriosis, lupus, heart problems, thyroid, or have high calcium levels in your blood.
- Patients with rare hereditary problems like galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take the medicine.

Dydrogesterone Tablet will be prescribed to you based on your medical situation. Do not self-medicate. Your doctor will choose the dose and duration of medication after doing several investigations such as blood tests, ultrasonography, etc. Take your medicine at the same time every day to avoid missing a dosage. Swallow it whole, without breaking or chewing, ideally with a glass of water. To get the most out of it, continue taking it for the recommended amount of time.
