Description

Amoxicillin & clavulanate Oral Suspension is a syrup that has two types of antibiotics together. Amoxicillin is a type of medicine that kills germs in the body. Clavulanate potassium stops some bacteria from getting stronger and resisting amoxicillin.

Amoxicillin and clavulanate suspension help to treat infections caused by bacteria like sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and skin infections. This medicine stops bacteria from growing. It only helps with bacterial infections. It won’t help for illnesses caused by viruses like the common cold or flu.

How To Use Amoxicillin & Clavulanate Oral Suspension?

  • Follow your doctor’s instructions and do not give more of this medicine to your kid, do not take it more often, and do not give it for a longer time than prescribed for your child
  • You can give this suspension to your child with or without eating. But it’s better to give this medicine with a meal or a snack to prevent stomach discomfort.
  • Some flavours can be added to the liquid medicine to make it taste nicer. If your child doesn’t like the medicine’s taste, ask the pharmacist about adding flavours.
  • Mix the liquid well before using it. Use the spoon or dropper that comes with the medicine to measure the liquid dose. The regular teaspoon at home might not hold the correct amount of liquid. Clean the measuring spoon or dropper with water every time you use it.
  • Continue taking this medicine for the entire treatment period, even if your child starts feeling better after the first few doses. If you stop giving the medicine too early, your infection might not go away.

Benefits Of Amoxicillin & Clavulanate Oral Suspension

Fights many types of bacteria: Amoxicillin and clavulanate can help with various infections because they work against lots of different bacteria.

Working Together: Clavulanate makes amoxicillin stronger by protecting it from bacteria that can break it down. This helps amoxicillin work better against bacteria that don’t respond to it alone.

Treats different infections: Doctors use this medicine for infections in the lungs, ears, sinuses, skin, bladder, and other bacterial infections in children

Easy to take: The liquid form is good for kids who can’t swallow tablets easily. It makes taking the medicine simpler.

Well-tolerated: Most people can take amoxicillin and clavulanate without many side effects. However, some people might feel sick, nauseous, or have an allergic reaction.

Effective against tough bacteria: Clavulanate helps to stop bacteria from resisting amoxicillin, making the medicine work better against them.

Combination therapy: Using both amoxicillin and clavulanate together helps treat a wider range of bacteria compared to using just one antibiotic.
