  • Some medications that lower stomach acid can make cefpodoxime not work as well. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about how to use PPIs and H2 blockers safely with cefpodoxime. If you use antacids, take them at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking this medication.
  • Give this antibiotic regularly and at the same times every day for the best results. To help you remember, make sure to take this medicine at the same time each day.
  • Keep taking the medicine until you finish it all, even if your child starts feeling better. If you stop giving the medicine too soon, the infection might come back.
  • Let your doctor know if your condition stays the same or gets worse.

  • This medicine can make your child’s skin very sick. They can occur several weeks to several months after starting the medication. Get in touch with your doctor immediately if your child has a fever or flu-like symptoms and develop a rash. The rash can be red or purple and then become blisters or the skin may start to peel. You may see a red rash and swelling on your face, lips, or lymph nodes in your neck or under your arms.
  • Don’t use store-bought products for diarrhoea. Get in touch with your doctor if you have diarrhea for more than 2 days or if it is very bad and watery.
